Greetings Everyone! I am here to announce to you that Kimberly Allison Asbury and William Howard Bartlett Wilson will be getting married on Wednesday, December 31st 2008 in State College, Pennsylvania!! Yes, this is a New Year's Eve wedding ceremony and celebration! This is the site where I will post information on what they are planning for the week, where you can stay, directions to the festivities and anything else you will need to know to celebrate this very special time with them. Please pass this blog address onto anyone who is planning to make the trip or just wants to stay abreast of what the happy couple have planned for their union. I will post any new updates so that you can periodically check for info leading up to the big day.
PLEASE send me pictures and stories - new and old, the two of them together or with others. We want this to be a fun place for us all to interact and get to know both families at any time. You can email me questions that you have that I can ask Bart and Kim, their close friends, my parents and his, etc. Send me updates that you know about that should be posted to the site. Email me questions about hotels, directions, what to bring (wear) for the various events...anything! I'll do my best to organize it so that you have fun while not showing up a day late!
A few things that I know so far:
- A dinner or brunch will be hosted by Kimberly's father, William Asbury, to receive visiting family and close friends.
- The wedding ceremony will take place on New Year's Eve at Kimberly's mother's house, Leslee Asbury.
- There will be a champagne toast to follow with close friends and family.
- A New Year's Eve party will take place following the ceremony at Kimberly and Bart's friend's home nearby.
- There will be live music and fancy foods with cocktails, photos and the cutting of the "cakes"!
- Kimberly and Bart will depart for their honeymoon in Mexico on January 2nd.
- Leslee has accommodations for family at her home.
- The nearby Steven's Motel (Kristin's family-owned local favorite) will take reservations for out of town guests http://www.thestevensmotel.com/. Also see http://www.state-college.com/hotels.html for additional hotels in the State College area -not the greatest site for hotel images but you won't find yourself too far from home.
Please contact me at keleighasbury@gmail.com and send me your email address so that I can send out group emails regarding updates to the blog. This is so much fun and we can't wait to see all of you. Oh yes, and please post comments below. We want to hear from you!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ASBURY-WILSON FAMILY!!

Congratulations Kim and Bart! I am thrilled for you both. Kim blessing us with her voice in a beautiful song at our wedding made it that much more special for us. Um, I can't sing, but I am so excited to meet you Bart and to join our families on this special day. Patrick and I are going to do our best to be there with our boys Alex (now 6!) and Max (now 3!). Enjoy the ride, and best wishes for continued love and happiness.
